Accepts: foam blocks, clean food containers. NO straws, cup lids, paper, or packing peanuts. Reuse your foam packing peanuts, or take them to your nearest FedEx Shipping store and they will reuse them!

Join us Monday night at Hawthorn Hill Nature Center at 7 PM for a  presentation of the Climate Reality update on Inconvenient Truth with solutions highlighted. We will  meet on the 3rd Monday of the month to discuss solutions to environmental problems the best voices and energy efficiency ways to cutback on fossil fuel energy use! Together we can pool information and all make the best choices possible. See you then!

Geneva Rain Barrels on Parade 2014


Please consider helping us with Geneva’s annual “Rain Barrels on Parade.”

The Geneva NRC (Natural Resources Committee) is still looking for artistic members of our community to donate their time and talents by painting a barrel for us to showcase around Geneva. Rain barrels eventually will be auctioned off, and the money collected will go straight toward the purchase of MORE GENEVA TREES!

Electronics – including all TVs & all accessories; computers & all accessories; and small household appliances (no large appliances/white goods).

Books – any age or condition, hard cover or paperback

Carpet – used residential carpet (and carpet tiles) and ‘Rebond’ carpet padding (the speckled kind) No rubber or felt padding please, as it is not recyclable.

Confidential Document Destruction for residential use (no businesses please). Shredding onsite: sensitive documents containing confidential information. All shredded paper is then recycled. Please do not bring periodicals, or other paper that does not need to be shredded and which can go in your household recycling bin.
